Web Design | Ice Hairdressing website
Wow its hard keeping up with blogging and I think I missed this one. A little while ago, Boots Creative designed a website for Ice Hairdressing and we are continuing to enhance their web presence and marketing on a monthly basis with a newsletter and through Facebook.
When I first met Bevan Hoyle the owner of Ice Hairdressing ( well we realised we had previously met, he popped in on one of my fashion shoots under Boots Photography because one of his hairdressers was working on the shoot ), anyway Bevan explained he was very fussy and particular. Im proud to say that he was extremely happy with the end result and that it represents his salon perfectly - so either we are both fussy and particular, or more like we just have the same tastes. Bevan is the dream client !
I popped into the salon the other day (oh yeah - because I was so impressed with the service they offer, Im now a client of Ice Hairdressing ) - Bevan was telling me he attended a Marketing Seminar specifically catered to the Hair Industry, and they used his business and website to demonstrate he was doing everything right and basically said he has wasted his money attending. Its great hearing feedback such as this, and nice when clients hear from an independent source, what they have been provided with was the right decision and working for them correctly.
Anyway take a look at the site and see what you think ... and dont forget to book an appointment at Ice Hairdressing as you will get the total pamper session from Bevan and the girls.
PS. make sure you ask for flavouring in your coffee !!

Event Photography | Brisbane | Burwell Art Exhibition
About 9 months ago I met Scott Burwell through a mutual friend, and when I learnt of his passion for his unique art and the family history involvement, I knew I had to be involved in this project.
Scott Burwell of Burwell Art uses boomerangs as his substrate for his painting works which include wildlife and nature as his inspiration. Why boomerangs you ask? - well why not, but as it happens the Burwell family has manufactured and thrown boomerangs for generations. The Burwell family have even presented boomerangs to the Beatles. While Scott didn't join the family in making or throwing the boomerangs, his take on the iconic Australian boomerang is use them in his art - what he likes to refer to as "BoomTych".
Over the weekend, Scott held his first public art exhibition at Mansfield Tavern in Mansfield near Mount Gravatt and had 25 pieces of work on display in a range of presentation options including canvases, framed prints, acrylic mounted frames, and postcards to ensure there was something for everyone.
Boots Creative + The Coffee Table Book had been working with Scott over the last couple of months to produce a coffee table book to showcase his 25 pieces which was on display at the exhibition. The book came up stunning as Scott had gone to the effort of having his original artworks professionally photographed for high-end reproduction. The book is a great marketing tool for Scott to carry around with him to show potential art collectors and galleries without having to lug huge pieces of art.
Boots Creative + The Coffee Table Book also donated a prize to the Raffle - congrats to Yvonne L who has won a 12"x12" 40 side coffee table book.
Boots Photography also was there on Friday night for the opening to photograph the event - here are just some highlights ...
